The 2016 presidential election left many uncertain about communal life in America. I participated in an Advent devotional series, #FuckThisShit, edited by Rev. Tuhina Verma Rasche and Rev. Jason Chestnut. While I do not often use such visceral language (and my posts, themselves, lack strong language), it was my way of naming the struggles that so many of us felt at the time. I wrote for Day Twelve and Day Twenty during Advent as well as this Lenten reflective post on the experience overall.
